Dr. Robert J. Mears, Founder, President and CTO
Dr. Robert J. Mears, our founder, has been leading the creation of the MST™ platform since 2001. He has a track record of developing industry shaping technologies and is recognized as one of the world’s leading experts in photonics - the synthesis of electronics and optical communications. In the late 1980’s, Dr. Mears addressed the challenge of expanding the bandwidth of fiber optic cable by inventing the Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (“EDFA”). He has authored or co-authored approximately 150 publications and numerous patents and is an Emeritus Fellow of Pembroke College, Cambridge, England.

Mr. Scott A. Kreps, VP of Engineering
Mr. Kreps has over 20 years of engineering and manufacturing experience in the semiconductor business including operations and engineering roles at Harris Corporation, AMCC and others. He specializes in leading the development of digital, mixed signal and analog semiconductor technologies and products and has extensive expertise in foundry interface management. He also has consulting and fabless semiconductor start-up experience with assessing and managing interfaces with all major foundries around the world, as well as contract packaging and testing. Mr. Kreps has a B.S.E.E from Purdue University.
